Meet our newest team member, Enrico

London, UK — Sep 2, 2025 — We’re pleased to announce that Enrico Sangoi has joined PolyModels Hub as our newest Process Modeller Fellow!

Enrico holds a Master’s degree in Chemical and Industrial Process Engineering from the University of Padova, and is currently completing his PhD in Chemical Engineering at University College London (UCL). His doctoral research focuses on developing advanced mathematical models for systems under uncertainty—covering data, parameters, and model structures.

His academic journey spans technical domains such as simulation and optimization, differential equation systems, and Python programming. Enrico’s research has resulted in peer-reviewed publications on topics like optimal experimental design and artificial neural networks for model identification, showcasing his ability to bridge fundamental science with real-world applications.

Enrico is part of the Galvanin System Identification Group at UCL and joins us as a Process Modeller Fellow, bringing expertise in process systems engineering and model-based design of experiments. His work will focus on solving challenging kinetic modelling problems and creating innovative digital workflows for our customers.

At PolyModels Hub, Enrico will play a key role in shaping core components of our process modelling Python libraries and delivering high-impact, model-based workflows to pharma customers. His contributions will directly support the development of machine learning frameworks for reaction kinetic modelling.
